Where has the time gone? ‘Nearly the end of February already! Existence has been going full speed into 2024 and with no signs of slowing down with many exciting events happening this year!

We’ve kick started another year with a brand new server, Project Better Than Adventure (Also known as Project BTA) while also having a number of build projects taking place on the Community Server.

There’s lots on the agenda for 2024, with our 8th anniversary just around the corner and much more to come.

Another incredible year for our community, starting off strong with Project Create, celebrating our 7th anniversary and turning purple. 2023 once again showed how lucky we are to have some amazing people within our community, people who go out of their way to do more for others, from engaging events established by Dr_Little to exciting Project servers lead by iGalaxy.

Community Server 2 powered on throughout the year, continuing to be a familiar home to many. Particularly nearing the end of 2023, interest in a number of community projects such as the Nether hub and Town hall began to spike along with work around the Inlet and Terraces area with our Christmas events.

All of this leading into a strong start for projects in 2024 that we hope will continue onward for the next phase of our Community Server.

The staff team continue to strive to bring the community closer and avoid seperation between what happens behind the scenes and in-light of the community, we look forward to having a higher degree of interaction with Patrons and the community as we look to establish new things this year.

Project Better Than Adventure (BTA)

New year, new project server! Accidentally starting a trend of doing a new project server every year, we’ve launched Project BTA utilising the “Better Than Adventure” mod for Beta 1.7.3. A love version of Minecraft with some modern enhancements and new features.

4 weeks in and we’ve seen great reception for this project, many enjoying the nostalgia of playing beta Minecraft while making use of all the new blocks items and features “Better Than Adventure” has to offer.

We have full intentions of running this project for a number of months, we had similar intentions with Project Create last year and that went for 6 months! So as long as members are enjoying BTA, we will ensure it’s online. With huge thanks to our Patrons for support funding it and iGalaxy for all their hard work developing the server and keeping it running smoothly.

The Year to Come

We are off to an amazing start for 2024, there is good engagement both across Community Server 2 and Project BTA. With many having a number of plans and projects underway there’s no sign of either servers slowing down anytime soon.

Conversations have been had between Patrons regarding Community Server 3, the general vibe at the moment points towards an ongoing focus on Community Server 2 while room to breathe utilising Project servers such as BTA. We don’t want to close up shop of Community Server 2 while there are a number of build projects underway and many want to have a good conclusion to the server.

As 1.21 approches we’ll be keeping on eye on its development and how it may affect the community. We’ll continue to communicate with Patrons and community members at a later date regarding the future of Community Server 2.

This year we look forward to hosting another Legacy Reunion UHC around the middle of the year, legacy members keep an eye out for notifcations or reach out to a staff member to join the Club house
